Helpful, informative, funny (to me anyway), useful articles, videos. And occasionally you will be bored to tears with thoughts that sometimes keep me up at night...or not.
This is similar to what people did in the 20's. Its why old houses had Parlors in the first place.
But a home viewing is still a strange ritual. In fact, the whole funeral procedure is just bizarre. I understand people need closure and a funeral is one way to do that, but its like playing dress up with a dead body. A rotting shell that was once inhabited by someone you loved dearly.
When I go, burn me to ash, take the ashes and scatter them to the winds. That seems much more fitting than pretending that Im just sleeping.
I agree 100%. My mother always said when she passes away, just chunk her off a cliff and leave her to the elements. Since that can't be done, scattering the ashes seems like the way to go.
(I just checked out your blog, and I love it - thanks for the comment.)
