No Posts For A While

I'm off to Little Rock. My dad had surgery to remove an abcess between his colon and bladder. The surgery went fine. They took ventilator off during recovery, and two hours later his heart stopped. MRI shows evidence of brain damage.

Dog Food Versus Sunglass Lens

I was going through some of Shorty's toys in hopes of one day having a garage sale sometime soon, and I came across this huge pair of sunglasses I bought a few weeks ago at Good Will.

I thought it was odd because there was a piece of dog food stuck to them. On closer inspection, I realized that the piece of dog food was actually melted into the lens. I have no idea how the dog food got there, but it did. That's not my concern. My concern is how in the hell does a single piece of dog food eat a hole through the plastic lens of these sunglasses? Is it the dog food? Is it the sunglasses?

The dog food is Wal-Mart brand Ol' Roy Kibbles Chunky 'N Chews and the sunglasses were made in China by Chentian Toys.

"It is a fascinating look into four different individuals and their struggles with hoarding. If you have 20 minutes to spare, take the time to watch this short documentary. Hoarding is a terrible psychological affliction that can render someone trapped in a extremely cluttered home. Martin Hampton does a great job in documenting the extremes of these four individuals."

This is amazing, and I don't know why, but it made me cry like a baby - (maybe it's because my dad is in the midst of a very serious surgery right now as I'm typing this.) She dedicates the ride to her dad who had passed away 24 days before this.

Thanks, Martha
