Fort Worth Fireworks

We went and watched the fireworks last night. Big Daddy, Shorty, me and Na-Na (my mom) all loaded up in Na-Na's truck and drove to an undisclosed location handpicked by Big Daddy. It was an awesome spot. It would have been more awesome if the fireworks were better. Aren't I crabby? The fireworks weren't the greatest I'd ever seen before. There was another fireworks show going on just to the north of us and it was awesome. I think it was Haltom City.

So I didn't want to bore you with the two crappy firework pictures I took, so here is a picture of the Fort Worth skyline. My hand is not that steady, but I think the picture has a cool effect. Click on it to make it bigger.

Here is a picture of the sunset with a beautiful, architectural piece smack dab in the middle of it. Oh, crap, that's a light post.

New Boots

An elderly couple, Ray and Louise, are 'seniors' in Montana. Ray always wanted a pair of cowboy boots.

Seeing some on sale one day, he buys them, wears them home, walking proudly. He walks into the house and says to his wife, "Notice anything different?"

Louise looks him over, "Nope."

Frustrated Ray storms off into the bathroom, undresses, and walks back into the room completely naked except for the boots. Again, he asks, a little louder this time, "Notice anything DIFFERENT NOW?"

Louise looks up and says, "Ray, what's different? It's hanging down today; it was hanging down yesterday; it'll be hanging down again tomorrow."

Furious, Ray yells, "AND DO YOU KNOW WHY IT IS HANGING DOWN, Louise? IT'S HANGING DOWN BECAUSE IT'S LOOKING AT MY NEW BOOTS!!!!!!!!!!"

To which Louise replies, "Shoulda bought a hat, Ray. Shoulda bought a hat.

Thanks, Mom

All Aboard

So I tried to capture the hilarity of what shorty said the other day in the bathtub. Obviously I'm not the greatest cartoonist around, but at least I gave it a try.

\All Aboard\

Thanks, Meera, for telling me about Toondoo.

I just realized how small I look in the first frame. The toilet looks like I could live in it. I've never been that petite in my life. In the second frame, I can only wish I had a little veranda that opened up to the beautiful ocean breeze or something crazy like that. In reality, I have four windows that won't open at all because they're painted shut. Even if I could open them, I probably would get knocked down by the smell of putrid gas fumes from all the drilling rigs going in around here. Oh, well, life is good. No, really it is.

Golf Solitaire

I have no idea why this looks like crap. Probably because I'm supposed to post it over there in the sidebar, but I don't want to look at it every day.

So anyway, I love to play this game. Come play with me over in the super-speedy games section in either the good times rolling or great outdoors rooms, whichever room has the most people in it. I'm onlyhalfredneck. No, I really am.
