To all the people who are members of the MSN Court Reporter Assistance board, I would like to share with you an email I received from one of the managers over there and I will also share my response:
First the assistant manager's email:
I am one of the assistant managers of court reporter assistance.
I am writing to explain why your membership was cancelled.
You wrote by clicking, "send email to managers," the following:
"I cannot believe you are so rude. You are a hateful, mean person. You keep on and on making comments to my post. You even correct one saying I said the wrong term - I should have said worms. If you haven't heard the term "basket full of snakes" then you need to read a little bit more or familiarize yourself with other cultures. Please stop your comments"
First of all I believe you jumped to the conclusion that...(user name)...is one of the managers. She is not. So this email you sent does not apply to the managers.
I really think your membership was cancelled for your own good. In the state of mind you were in, you might have continued to say things that you would regret. And the court reporters' feeling about you in this thread might have tainted their relationship with...(user name)...in the future.
I hope you will be happy to know that the entire thread that you started has been erased, so it does not have the potential to affect your relations with the court reporting world long term.
May I suggest if you want to have internet relations with court reporters to try the compuserve forum
http://community.compuserve.com/n/pfx/forum.aspx?webtag=ws-crforum or
www.depoman.com or the NCRA forum. They are much bigger forums, and you will get a bigger pool of opinions.
I wish you all the best, and I'm sorry that you had a bad experience with court reporter assistance.
My response:
I'm sorry, but I was confused on who was making comments. I had it set to where I would receive replies to my inbox. Some of the replies said the actual user names and other times it said "Court reporter assistance...(email address)." I wrongly assumed that those posts were coming from the manager of the group. And once again, I am sorry for that. But why is it that some said the user name and others said Court reporter assistance?
My state of mind at the time was...I guess the proper word would be dumbfounded. And when someone called me "Sweetie" and corrected my terminology, it just sent me through the roof. Someone actually agreed with me that the person who called me "sweetie" should not have done so. And if you go back through all the post, you'll see that...(user name)...is the person who called me Sweetie. I honestly thought I would get maybe a couple of comments. I realize I should have worded everything differently than I did. I posted that on my blog. I would have posted that on your board if I had been given the opportunity.
I still can't believe I am the only person in the history of this board to be removed from it. I only wanted the posts removed that had my name in it and/or my Texas CSR number. Why did that prompt my dismissal? I didn't threaten anybody. I didn't call anyone names. I didn't make a racial joke. I didn't do anything wrong. But if that's how this board does business, I don't mind being ejected from it.
If anyone cares to read what I said (which I'm sure they don't), here is a couple of links:

If I could figure out how to make the comments show up on the actual page instead of having to click them, I would. So be sure and click the comments section. I've posted every comment that anyone has made. I'll be sure and correct the post I made when I thought the manager of this group was making rude comments. But I won't say I think you were right in giving me the boot.
